Dan Schmidt

Dan Schmidt serves as director, producer, screenwriter, narrator, editor, and provides the original music score and imagery for Awakening Mind Films.

Dan is a meditation & self-inquiry facilitator and filmmaker. He is the creator of the award-winning film “Inner Worlds Outer Worlds,” the ongoing “Samadhi” film series airing on Gaia and YouTube with over 11 million views, and the not-for-profit Awaken the World Initiative that produces films and materials which are made available for free in over 30 languages for the awakening of humanity.

The Samadhi Center in Ontario Canada and the Awaken the World Initiative were created by Dan as an outer reflection of his inner world. His approach combines self-inquiry with traditional forms of meditation so participants can have the opportunity to simultaneously realize their transcendent nature and purify themselves of conditioned patterns so that the human vessel becomes permeable to their true nature.
